We all know the gay actors who have walked a straight line like NPH and Jim Parsons. But continuing our feature for Pride month and also celebrating SCOTUS’ ruling, we are proud to present actors and actresses who play gay.
Steppenwolf founder Jeff Perry has played two gay roles First on “My So Called Life” as a drama teacher. But his most infamous gay role is as gay Chief of Staff to President Grant on “Scandal” . Here he is with his late husband played by Dan Bucatinsky. Jeff has two daughters and is married to the casting director for Shondaland shows Linda Lowry.
Jack Coleman was the second actor to play Stephen Carrington on “Dynasty” . Due to return on the revamped version of “Heroes” . Our last actor who played gay is that “Scandalous” favorite, Tony Goldwyn. Tony appeared on an episode of “Designing Women” as Kendall Dobbs . He was a young man who contracted AIDS and asks the Sugarbaker ladies to design his funeral. Tony also played gay in “The Substance of Fire” as well.
