That idea resulted in the movie “Ghiost” . Patrick Swayze was coming off the success of his movies “Dirty Dancing ” and “Road House” and Demi Moore had just made headlines by marrying superstar Bruce Willis. Whoopi Goldberg had just started her meteoric climb and a newcomer by the name of Tony Goldwyn was making a name for himself as the villainous Carl. The movie swept the Oscar noms that year and won screenwriter Rubin and Goldberg gold statuettes.
